Enter the code shown on your range display
Is it safe to keep using it?
Depends on code severity. Low/Medium codes often allow continued use, High severity requires immediate stop.
Can error codes be reset?
Some codes clear after power cycle. Persistent codes indicate underlying issues needing repair.
When should I stop using it?
Stop immediately for water leak codes, burning smell, or any High severity error.

ER ES
Gas Oven Ignition Failure (LG-Platform)
High
The igniter glows orange (visible through the oven bottom or broil element area) and a click or hiss of gas may be heard, but the burner does not sustain a flame. After several attempts the board sets Er ES and stops trying to ignite.

ER F3
Oven Temperature Sensor Fault (LG-Platform Gas Range)
High
The control board blocks the gas oven igniter from energizing because it cannot confirm oven temperature. The gas surface burners are typically unaffected and continue to operate normally.

F1
Control Board Failure — Bake Relay or EEPROM (Legacy)
High
The control panel accepts button inputs but the oven never warms up. F1 may appear immediately at power-up or during a cook cycle, depending on whether the failure is in EEPROM (startup) or the relay (during operation).
View
F1-E0
EOC EEPROM Communication Failure
High
The EOC board blocks the bake and broil relays from energizing because it cannot read its operating parameters from EEPROM. The control panel may accept button inputs, but the oven never reaches temperature.
View
F2
Oven Over-Temperature (Legacy — Pre-2005 Models)
High
A bake or self-clean cycle terminates abruptly. The display shows F2 and an alarm sounds. The EOC board has cut power to all heating elements. Pressing Cancel clears the alarm and display.

F2-E0
Oven Over-Temperature During Cook
High
The bake or broil cycle terminates abruptly before the programmed cook time completes. The display shows F2-E0 and an alarm sounds. The oven is intentionally disabled until the fault is cleared.
View
F3-E0
Oven Temperature Sensor Open Circuit
High
Because the control board has no temperature feedback, it blocks the bake and broil relays from energizing. The control panel accepts button inputs and the display shows the set temperature, but the oven never warms up.
View
F3-E2
Warming Drawer Temperature Sensor Open or Shorted
Medium
With F3-E2 active, the EOC board prevents the warming drawer element from energizing. The drawer slides open and closed normally, but no heat is produced regardless of the temperature setting.

F5-E0
Door Latch Switch Fault During Self-Clean
Medium
The self-clean cycle finishes and the oven cools to below 550°F, but the door latch does not retract and the door cannot be opened. F5-E0 is displayed, indicating the EOC board did not receive a confirmed unlocked signal from the latch switches.
View
F5-E1
Door Latch Switch Open During Cook Cycle
Medium
A bake or broil cycle running normally terminates mid-cook with F5-E1 displayed. The oven heating elements shut off and the control panel shows the fault code, requiring a Cancel press and reset to restore normal function.
View
F7
Function Key Stuck or Shorted on Keypad
Medium
The fault appears spontaneously, often when the range has not been recently used. It typically starts as an intermittent alarm and display flash before becoming persistent, because membrane delamination initially causes intermittent contact before becoming continuous.
View
F9-E0
Door Latch Failed to Lock for Self-Clean
Medium
After selecting self-clean and pressing Start, the range attempts to lock the door. If the latch motor runs but the lock switches do not confirm a locked state, F9-E0 appears and the cycle is cancelled. No high-temperature heating ever begins.
