Error Codes
Meanings, severity levels, safe checks you can perform, and when to call a technician.
Enter the code shown on your cooktop display
Is it safe to keep using it?
Depends on code severity. Low/Medium codes often allow continued use, High severity requires immediate stop.
Can error codes be reset?
Some codes clear after power cycle. Persistent codes indicate underlying issues needing repair.
When should I stop using it?
Stop immediately for water leak codes, burning smell, or any High severity error.

Common Symptom
BURNER-WON-T-LIGHT
Burner Sparks But Gas Will Not Ignite
Medium
The electrode arc is working correctly — the spark can be seen and heard — but no blue flame lights on the burner head ring. This distinguishes BURNER-WON-T-LIGHT from NO-SPARK (where no arc occurs at all).

CLICKING
Igniter Clicks Continuously Without Burner Active
Medium
The cooktop clicks continuously in a repeating pattern after every burner is returned to the Off position. The clicking may slow slightly but does not stop unless the cooktop is unplugged or the circuit breaker is switched off.
View
E1
Induction Coil Temperature Sensor Fault
High
The affected induction zone shows E1 on its LED digit display and will not activate even when a compatible pot is placed on the zone. Other zones on the cooktop may continue to operate normally.
View
E2
IGBT Power Module Overheat
High
The code typically triggers on the zone that has been running at power level 8 or above for an extended period — the IGBT module that drives the coil overheats when sustained high current is combined with inadequate ventilation underneath the cooktop.
View
F5
Control Board Relay / Communication Fault
High
Depending on the specific model, F5 may disable only the zone associated with the failed relay or lock out the entire cooktop surface. Touch controls are unresponsive while F5 is active.
View
NO-SPARK
Igniter Produces No Spark — Gas Burner Will Not Light
Medium
The spark module produces no output at all when the ignition switch on the affected burner is activated — the characteristic clicking sound is absent and no arc is visible at the electrode gap above the burner cap.
View
PF
Power Failure — Electrical Outage Detected
Low
When household power returns after an outage or brownout, the cooktop displays PF on the LED panel to indicate the previous session was interrupted. All zones are inactive until the user acknowledges the code.
View
SURFACE-ELEMENT-INOP
Electric Surface Element Does Not Heat
Medium
The affected radiant element or coil zone does not produce visible heat or red glow when selected. A pot placed on the zone stays at room temperature while the control indicator shows the zone is active.
